Young is very much a bad pitcher perhaps, worse than Rea.  Cubs will get plenty of pitches to hit.  Will they hit them today?

3 home runs hit in the last 6 games and 6 total from the big 4 since the all star break.. Time to start finding the bleachers again. Wind blowing in from right/center at 8 mph.

Is anyone else worried about PCA?  His approach at the plate - is it sustainable?

swinging at every pitch that's within a foot of the strike zone? No, that's not sustainable

Let’s see PCA has made adjustments over the later half of last season and this  season.  Making him an effective offensive player and now his adjustments will just halt?  Just like that?

You're not going to believe this, but the wind is blowing... in.

unreal...dunno if I've ever seen a season like this. Seems like it's blown in about 85% of the time

Off topic but important to the division race, Brewers just scratched Mis from his start and placed him on IL.

Frelick knee is day to day

Chourio on 10 day IL

Maybe the baseball gods are done helping the Brewers 😅😅😅

Does not matter the transcendent Brewers will call up,/find some schmuck who’ll hit ,500 for a few weeks. While Tucker and his bad finger continues to draw a BB and nothing else.

Perhaps a hot take,  but I think PCA is actually in the midst of making adjustments that will lead to an even bigger breakout.

I know there have been some bad hacks,  but there have also been some better swing decisions recently.  I've seen him lay off a number of pitches that he was chasing before.  He's still expanding when he gets frustrated,  but I think he's working on it.

I wonder if that terrible pitch he swung at for strike 3 was a result of that egregious collar high strike 3 call earlier in the game.

Man....baseball is like life: so damn  unpredictable and frustrating at times. But then again...that's why I love it so much too. As for the Brewers injuries, that was inevitable of course. Don't wish injuries on anyone obviously. I did wonder about them letting Miz pitch in the all star game and packing on those extra innings.

If he can do better recognizing the low ones, he'll be much much better, they seem to stay low on him often, likely with the breaking pitches.

They called up Henderson to take Mis’s spot. 1.71 era in 4 starts this season:

And yet they are going to sweep today.

It's hilarious. None of the Brewers hitters are especially good, none of them even have that good of numbers, but they somehow jump into the lead within 2 innings every game and score 6 runs a night.

Just have to tip your cap.

And they, unlike the Cubs, are hitting those middle middle FB's and hanging breaking balls.  Baseball is unique in that the regular season is a collection of local maxima and minima, the Cubs are in a local minima.  At some point, I know it feels like it never happen, a local maxima will happen for Cubs.
