Or if any of the OFers need a day off or god forbid injuries, it opens up Suarez at DH and Shaw at 3B.  You can probably get him 3 starts a week still.

Yes, they could use Shaw in a bit of a Zobrist role to give guys much needed days off down the stretch.

I hope that is the plan

I was relaxed about this game until I saw Pressly in. Again I know his overall numbers are decent but he just doesn’t make me comfortable.

and just like that a HR and a single

how the hell did that go out? He flipped it at low pitch

That was an incredible AB by Tauchman and I can’t believe that homer went out either

Don't know if Counsell's managing has anything to do with it, but Cubs rookies sure have played well after the ASB the last two season with Counsell.

Yep, these are the only time I feel somewhat comfortable seeing Pressly pitch.

Don't understand the Royals trade.  They must think a WC is within their reach?  Because as terrible the Tigers have been for, what, 3 weeks, the Royals are still 8 games behind them.  Tigers aren't going to flounder forever, they'll get back on track.  Actually, Grichuk wouldn't have been that bad of an add for the Cubs.
