0% chance he hits that for a home run before the ASB.

Whoever tinkered with his swing needs a raise

Same crew who tinkered and toiled with PCA and Miguel Amaya. Cubs have some good guys in the biomechanical and swing department.

Out in 19 ballparks and 99,5mph off the bat. It wasn't a cheap one.

lol I was kidding, going along with the 'were not going to give Ian Happ any credit' theme

Shaw is really making a case for himself these last 10 days.  Maybe this changes their trade deadline plans a bit.

I hope it doesn’t. 3B is still a mess outside of Shaw. Get a competent bench 3B and I am happy.

I'm a big dummy. I didn't even have a drink tonight. I have nothing to blame it on.

The one downside of this new righty lineup is the top of the order consists of 3 lefties in the first 4 batters which leaves the Cubs susceptible against teams with good lefties in their pen.  Not that a non-slumping Tucker is bad against lefties, but PCA and Busch are both noticeably worse against lefties.  Its definitely something teams can exploit late in games.

Though ideally the Cubs have a big lead because they load up the lineup with power hitting lefties earlier in the game against a righty starter.

They definitely need a better bat off the bench.

I've been all in on Eugenio Suarez for a while now but all of a sudden, Shaw is making me rethink my position

I thought Counsell was the one who told Amaya to silence the leg kick? Or was it Suzuki?

I think it's a full-team effort. I don't want to give credit to one person, but when you have a pretty consistent history of fixing and tinkering, it's likely collective more-so than any anecdote. Like I don't doubt a Counsell said something like that, but it was also the team behind the scenes who found a way to help him implement that aspect properly.

The Cubs essentially don't mess with swings until their have struggles. Which also leads me to believe in a collective effort.

Horton's ERA down to 3.67

Also, Milwaukee losing 7-3

but I was told the season is over and we should all find something else to do with our lives
