Matt Shaw OPS:

.615

Ian Happ OPS:

.695

And as we all know Happ is history’s greatest monster so what does that make Shaw?

Shockingly he doesn’t come through

Maybe, just maybe, he’s not good?  But, it’s the Brewers and they’re soooooooo superior to the Cubs

I am guessing Hill-Turner is the oldest pitcher-hitter matchup in MLB history?

No sir:

"The oldest batter vs. pitcher matchup in Major League Baseball history involved Nick Altrock (57 years old) and Rube Walberg (37 years old) in 1933, with a combined age of 94 years and 80 days, according to Guinness World Records. They faced each other on October 1, 1933, when Altrock was a player-coach for the Washington Senators and Walberg pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics."

In case you aren't paying attention to Iowa tonight, Caissie had himself a game.

I really hope Hoyer can avoid trading him

Owen Caissie tonight:

5-5

1 HR

2 Doubles

2 RBIs

2 Runs

Great post...KEEP this kid he's a stud and let's face it, do we really think Ricketts is gonna pay Tucker in a mega deal? Only Cub that should get 10 years 4-500 mil is PCA. Tucker will take the money and run to NY or LA and if we hang onto Caissie he can start play RF and/or DH along with Suzuki

Cubs have the best record in baseball again. Looking forward to tomorrow's front page article detailing how everything is now fixed.

Dodgers will probably get it together and coast to the NL West title. But, boy, do they look bad right now.

Tigers are dog doo right now too...playing horribly

Yeah, losing two to the Pirates who had just been swept by the White Sox.

Only six more pieces and we’ll be really good

As much as it was a mess, the stretch tonight should be a replay of Ozzy Osbourne.

It should have been.  But then what would the Cubs have told the local TV host that nobody has ever heard of?

At least he mentioned Ozzy. Respect for that.

Mariners win! We're tied again!

We have the best record in baseball and aren’t even in first alone.

Perhaps not famous, but definitely not a local guy. Longtime host of a national show. I knew who he was as soon as I saw him.

What happened to Miz? They took him out after 3.2 and 64 pitches.

Planned short outing to limit his innings and pitches.

Sign Tucker, go with Happ to start 2026, if he does his start the season in a slump thing, phase Cassie in, with the intent to make him the permanent LFer.
