Apparently PCA has a bruised right knee and that’s why he’s not playing.

Yep -

PCA not starting today.  Seiya  in CF and Turner at DH.  Wonder if he's banged up.  Odd time to give him a day off right after the ASB.  But it's a LHP, however a reverse-splits guy.

Bruise knee..

Whimp 😅

Happ in CF and Seiya in left makes more sense, but what do I know?

Most likely, less than CC. 😬

I could see two arguments:

1. Better to have one guy out of position than two

2. Seiya is significantly faster than Happ at this point.  So even granting that he's  a bit of a putz in the field, decent chance he's still a better CF than Happ

But Happ has played CF before

Apparently Brujan is getting slower.

I wonder if moving Happ to DH and giving Seiya more time in LF would benefit everyone.

Having a decent OFer on the bench would make even more sense 🤷‍♂️

Instead they have to choose between either Brujan in CF or Turner to DH.

Pick your posion

It's quietly the area that will matter the most when it comes to deadline trades.  They have a ton of flexibility when it comes to moving their starters around the diamond, but the bench is trash.

It's why Willi Castro makes a ton of sense, the more I think about it.

I like that idea.   A solid supersub that can play CF who isn't Brujan would be nice.

Why? Why would the Cubs field a worse defensive team than they would just playing Happ in left? I mean, if you are suggesting to give Happ a rest more often, maybe that is a good idea. But it is definitely weakening the defense when you do that.

Just find a way to win a ballgame tonight

Don't let the Brewers take over the lead

Didn’t you say you weren’t going to worry about this until after the Cubs and Brewers play in August. Each would have 34 games left. Not 3 hrs later and you are worrying about it.

They ought to trade a couple of low prospects for Hauser and Tauchman.

Tauchman would be great but him getting AB with this team would be limited unless they give Zuki even less or no PT in the OF because Tauchman can spell all 3 OFers and give them each a full day off every week.

Im not worried about the Brewers now, I want my Cubs to win a ballgame and not give them any chance to take over the Division.

Chibear, again, you suggested it would be great to have a good outfielder on your bench. Tauchman would be that good bench outfielder. Yet, now you are saying his AB would be limited. So which is it? Is it a good idea to get a solid outfielder or isn’t it important because he wouldn’t be used much anyway?
