I was thinking the same thing, what the hell happened during the bye week for everything to turn to garbage?

O linemen going down, Caleb feeling the pressure from d linemen, and Waldron not knowing what to do is the cause

The Saints fired their coach. And that team played with heart in that victory on Sunday. They were playing with WR's you can't even name. Shaheed and Olave are both on IR. I think Taysom Hill was their back up RB.

Darren Rizzi has never held a higher ranking in the NFL of Special Teams Coordinator prior to being named the interim head coach for the Saints.

Just cut bait with Eberflus and Waldron already. Eric Washington can run the defense. Hell, he can just keep using Eberflus' playbook for that. Hire any warm body that the players respect to be the interim head coach and let the QB coach work with this offense to move the ball down the field. You can't convince me that the results would be worse. But, it's seeming more and more likely that the players have given up on this coaching staff and more of the same could result in an even worse situation than the one they find themselves in.

More than anything, you need to find some competence before the season ends if you want any chance at a guy like Ben Johnson giving up his current gig, or even considering the Bears job the premium job to consider.

An ownership driven to win might make these moves, not the McCaskey's.  Winning is down their list of priorities, it's why they wouldn't hire Harbaugh.

Is it really that hard to determine a lack of pass protection means a focus on quick passing plays?  Seems like a fairly logical conclusion to me.

That’s why they keep going to the DJ Moore -3 yard quick screen lol. Caleb for whatever reason doesn’t throw the ball fast enough even on the quick reads.

I disagree that winning is down the list. They are absolutely driven to win. They are not driven to maximize profit, and get criticized in many “business of sport” stories about their lack of focus on increasing revenue at every turn, in comparison to a Jerry Jones type.

But what they want is to win in a specific manner, with quiet class and stability. This organization wants to be the Steelers. They desperately want to hire one coach and have that man in place for 30 years. Make the playoffs every year. Get to a Super Bowl every decade.

The problem is they absolutely suck at that job.

It speaks volumes that Eberflus and Poles talk extensively about accountability, but when it comes to Waldron getting canned, it involves leaks from anonymous sources instead of a press conference.

Maybe now that Waldron is gone the WRs will actually run a route hard so Caleb has someone to throw to.  Bums. All of 'em.

That doesn’t really speak volumes about anything. These kinds of moves get leaked before announced. That’s just the way the world works.

what speaks volumes to me is that it took until Tuesday after Eberflus had a disastrous Monday trying to hem and haw with media

it’s the indecisiveness and lack of leadership

To me that implies winning isn't priority one, they want to win but only in a specific way?  That's nonsense and completely inline with the McCaskey's.

They can’t even build a stadium on the land they own properly because the McCaskeys aren’t good at anything

Yeah and now probably as a distraction there is a new site at Michael Reese(sp?) that Warren is looking into. That broke at 7:30 this morning, Waldron firing leaked at 8:15. What a cluster horsefeathers organization.
