Poles, Eberflus, Waldron all have the same agent?

Yeah nothing is happening except that Ginny is very angry.

There’s really nothing better for a coach on a bad team that is under contract to get fired. It’s doing him a favor getting paid to not work and be free to seek other opportunities. The agents aren’t going to step in and prevent that from happening.

Yeah put him with Herbert and he'd be one of the best receivers in the game again.

I feel like Moore is being used to clear out and distract the defense while Cpt Slow takes his time to make his 1 move on the 3rd DB to get open. Meanwhile, since the play takes so damn long to develop, Williams is getting hammered

I just feel like whatever they thought he was going to bring to the table ain't happing and its had a detrimental effect on Moores production

Ben Johnson and Jim Harbaugh were available, but Matt Eberflus was kept around because of something. Decisions like that are why the Bears are a bad organization. They stink from top to bottom.

I'm just reading tweets and stories today about whats wrong with the Bears and I'm getting such a sense of deja vu.  It's like the same horsefeathers.  "The offensive coordinator doesn't know how to work to his players strengths", "the quarterback has no time to throw", "the wide receivers aren't getting open/the scheme is not helping them get open", "the QB is holding onto the ball too long"

It's just the same thing over and over again.  New GM, new coaches, new offense, new QB, new Oline, new WRs but the story is the same.  It's just so unbelievably frustrating and I'm sick of it.

Ben Johnson's name wasn't even known. I don't think anybody in this forum ever pined for him before this year.

You mean before last offseason right?  He was absolutely one of, if not the biggest name of the last coaching cycle.  It was surprising news that he turned down the Commanders job and committed to staying in Detroit another season.

I don't know why you're wasting time reading anything about the team right now TBH.

Offensive infrastructure is a real thing. The bears don’t have one. Defensive head coaches can win with either HOF caliber and/or established veteran QB or a depth of connections in the coaching community to hire quality young offensive minds.

A first time head coach from the defensive side of the ball and a history of coaching mediocre nfl teams was not the right hire for a team looking to turn around the offensive.

Adam Schefter throws out speculation that Caleb might be benched for Bagent.  I don't think that's going to happen, and if you listen to the video its his speculation as an option, but wild to even be discussing that.

Edit: nevermind, Eberflus firmly stated Caleb is the starter

I would imagine Waldron is not calling plays next week

I’d like to see Nate Davis cut today. Doesn’t matter that line depth is a problem. He is not available anyway. Davis has been an awful addition and allowing his lack of participation to go on completely flies in the face of Eberflus’s hustle and effort mandate.

Davis is the epitome of a loaf.

No chance Bagent starts unless Caleb is hurt

Listening to the presser, Eberflus comes across like a coward and a dunce. His vague discussions of processes and decisions is maddening.

Just make the announcement that Waldron has been launched and take questions already.

Agreed. I think he was healthy yesterday but the Bears didn’t want to suit him up. Then what’s the point of keeping him?

He sounds like someone who has no idea what they are talking about so they use a bunch of vague and ultimately meaningless words to describe something

The story is he showed up complaining of back pain. This was in a game where offensive line depth was an issue. It doesn’t matter if it’s the back pain was real or not. The guy has no future here. You can’t sell hustle and heart to the rest of the team when this non-participant just sits on his guaranteed contract

go find a street free agent and pay him his injury settlement

A competent administration would fire Eberflus today. At this point the health and development of the QB who is your franchise is at stake and he's repeatedly endangered it. I don't think they will, of course. (Though, who knows, maybe if they get embarrassed in the division might be enough to warrant a midseason fire, of course they didn't do it with Marc "Dr. Death" Trestman).

It's baffling to know what went wrong with the offense, exactly. They went into the bye going off 2 extraordinarily good offensive performances, against bums of course, but they were executing and gelling together. They came out of the bye, against a mediocre-to-bad defense and...looked like they never saw a football before. And against two more bad defenses, they proceeded to get worse. How does that happen?

I was thinking the same thing, what the hell happened during the bye week for everything to turn to garbage?

The more time players spend with Waldron and Eberflus the more they realize how incompetent and full of horsefeathers they are, respectively.

Week 1 was awful. They didn’t recover until they played a few games and players confronted the staff. They’ve had multiple instances now when veterans felt comfortable publicly criticizing the coaching. They are lost.
