Yeah Lodolo is really really good.  This is why Friday sucked because beating Greene or Lodolo is a reasonable ask beating both is a tall order.  Hopefully Brown can trade 0's with him and we can beat their bullpen.

I know the twittersphere sees this as a low, but I really think Bote has something left to offer.

I mean, at worst it's an even tradeoff. Madrigal just doesn't have the tools or versatility to merit continued play time if he continues slumping like he has.

Tauchman, PCA, Busch all sitting today

Tauchman and Busch are much worse against lefties and Lodolo is death to lefty hitters this year (.406 OPS against).  PCA has hit lefties better than righties in the minors but small sample size, perhaps they just don't love the matchup for him

I’m fine with the lineup given Lodolo’s numbers vs lefties, but I would have started PCA, Cody at 1b, Wiz DH, Morel 3b. Bote RHH off the bench.

I would guess this will be the standard lineup vs. lefties.  The fact that it was Bote specifically up for Madrigal makes me think there's some level of getting Morel off the field over to DH motivating this as well.

Yeah I’m a little surprised Bote is getting right into the lineup when Vazquez couldn’t buy a start or even a PA
