I think it’s time to release both Hendricks and Smyly, some good options in AAA and looks Brewer and Palencia should be ready soon. 27 mil well spent by Hoyer

Long time lurker first time poster. Hopefully the Cubs turn over a new leaf in this new month starting today. 
would love a shakeup today to help but not sure what could even be done besides going nuclear.

I guess the whole thing with Counsel squeezing the most out of his players is a myth?

It's probably an organizational thing for the Brewers, along with some luck and just being really good at picking out value by the FO.  They sold off or lost key guys and didn't even have a rebuilt yet ours took 2 years of sucking and prospects are still in the minors. 

Counsell's been mostly solid based on lineups and managing pitching but I don't see any magic or special abilities.  He's better than Ross except for the running game

Managers are only as good as their players performances on the field.

He has 13 position players, he starts the best 9 most every game,  it's up to the players to do their job in between the lines. They aren't.  

When you have a team BA of .228, OBP of .309, and OPS of .677, Your best hitter (.266/.370/. 395/.765) is a 33 YO 4th OFer that had to play in Korea 2 seasons ago. There's not much a manager can do.

Those guys will return in July and we will hear how they are like adding new relievers to the pen as to why they didn't go and trade for one. 😏😏😏

Happ supposed to be more of a run producer, while Tauchman is supposed to be an OB guy 🤷‍♂️

I think now with PCA, the decision is going to be more of who to play between PCA and Busch.
