Maybe I'm in the minority or maybe there's zero market for them but it feels like a waste to hold onto Smyly and Neris (and Jorge Lopez if anyone can buy his ERA this year). Still 90 minutes left.

Smyly, I'd be a bit surprised if he isn't traded. With his option, it's probable no one wants Neris.

Does either of them really have a market?  I'm sure the Cubs could get someone to take Smyly if they send cash with him, but are they actually going to get anything in return?  Similarly for Neris, his vesting option for next year probably kills his value.

Smyly and neris should definitely be moved

The Padres are getting Tanner Scott. Will they have any prospects left?

That is a nasty pen. Wow. Good luck to teams trying to catch them down the stretch.

Smyly's peripherals are hot garbage, but it only takes one desperate GM

It’s probably their contracts, have to hand it to Jed. Somehow he made short term contracts really ugly and hard to move. With the options and NTCs

Marlins overall have done fantastic this deadline. Talk about restocking the farm.

They really have.

On the other end, the Padres have traded 12 of their top 15 prospects this year for Cease, Arraez, Scott and Cubs legend Jason Adam. They're certainly swinging for the fences but if they don't win it all, their system is barren.

It's a nice stadium and it's fan friendly in terms of a large parking lot/tailgating. They're going to lose that aspect, which is big to KC folks. The area around is a shithole though and there's nothing to do outside of the stadiums. But the lease is up in 2030 and ownership has already announced they won't be renewing. It'll be downtown (The mockups have been nice) or they'll move to the Kansas side near the Legends area.

Nice. That sounds cool. Only been downtown in KC once and it seems like a solid city.

The countdown lasted less than 5 months

Dang that's a haul for the marlins. AJ Preller is such an interesting GM to me

Padre prospect huggers don't have much meat left on the bone.

Idk Salas and de Vries is a heck of a duo up top, and 20 YO Lizarraga’s quietly one of the better and more underrated SP prospects out there. It’s very very hard to actually deplete a farm system these days with so many cheap avenues to talent

SD is excellent is fantastic at identifying prospect talent, they'll restock that thing quick. I feel like they empty the farm every other year and sure enough it's restocked shortly after.

I would guess Flaherty is going to Boston if Anthony is on the move. Unless it’s for Crochet.

Looks like no one wants Neris on a 1 / 9 for 25 . Stuck with him , great

Make sure you guys all keep getting monthly cardiovascular checkups for his games during the season

So by this logic no one wants Jack Flahery either

Could just not let him get to 60 or DFA him if you don’t want him around in 25 for 9m
