He didn't even look like he was going hard. Dude has prime Byron Buxton-level wheels.

.930 xBA. Never once looked like a hit once you saw PCA.

Craig needs to *strongly* consider a legitimate piggyback situation as the rotation returns to health.  I do imagine Wesneski and Brown are going to stay up, but why limit them to 1-2 innings stints or whatever when you can probably get 3 to 5?  At minimum let them get exactly once through the order out of the pen.

This has to be the last game with Mervis.  Too late to get Cooper back but there has to be a better option out there.

I imagine the intention was to have him up through Bellinger's IL stint but yeah you've gotta cut bait.

This just might be Mervis last weekend as a Cub, he looks so lost up there with zero confidence in his eyes.

Maybe a change of scenery trade will help him

I know about all the injuries, but this is the kind of stretch of offense I was worried about during the offseason.

i gotta wonder if PCA stays up for good when Belli returns and Busch moves to utility/DH role really cleaning up 2 problem spots defensively

Which problem spots would those be?  CF, which Bellinger is generally very good at, and 1B, which Busch is fine at and will hopefully continue to improve?  I don't think you are gaining a ton defensively by making that move.
