Hahaha you're really going to count this one huh

Lose a game because we can't field a comebacker to the pitcher. The bread and butter of this team was supposed to be the defense.

Stupid series.  Could have won 3 of 4, could have lost 4 of 4.  2-2 seems appropriate but damn this team can be frustrating.

Sure, but given that today was driven almost entirely by a new rule designed to make teams score in extra innings, it probably means we should be caveating this 'historic' stretch of losses-after-being-ahead.

Do you still put an asterisk behind all the HR records after the schedule expanded to 162 games?

Either way, just to be extra annoying about it, the Cubs have lost 10 of their last 58 games dating back to last year when they had a lead in the 8th inning or later.  If you watched a Cubs game last September or this year, there was a 17% chance you would see them blow a late lead and lose.

Oh now the zone expands on pitches that at no point in their path to the plate were in the strike zone.

Can we please bring in the robot umpires!!
