dammit I was 1 inning away from making a pointless and unwelcomed "Pfaadt has a 0.23 career ERA against the Cubs and a 16.73 career ERA against everyone else" post and then the Cubs had to go out and score 2 runs.  I suppose I still could since one of the runs was unearned, but its twice as annoying to post after the Cubs actually scored runs and took the lead.

He tried to do too much with it. It was a routine out at 1st, but he wanted the double play and rushed it.

To be fair, he has a grand total of 10 at bats through the first 17 games, so it's hard to expect him to have any sort of success in his infrequent at bats.

But life isn't fair, and I don't think any number of consistent at bats are going to turn Mastrobuoni into a legitimate MLB player.
