Cubs lost a tough one yesterday

And the culprit was one of the usual suspects

Because of the circumstances, all of the worst people are going to be incredibly dramatic all day today about pretty much everything

Cubs are on the bump tonight with a piggyback deal between Ben Brown

and Drew Smyly

Cubs had a 43 game winning streak when scoring 8 or more going into last night game, they were 32-0 last season.

Ok, new day new game...

Let see how they respond back after last night. 

Let be happy we're not whitesox fans because they're offense is offensive,  they have hit in more double plays (9), then they have scored runs this season (8).

Smyly starting this one, but yea Brown likely to follow, hopefully that will be in the 5th or 6th because Smyly pitching awesome.

We played a game last night where it was Yu Darvish vs Javier Assad on the road and we lost by one run. It's ultimately fine. No, I will not consider further context.

Whoa interesting, u mean Christian Franklin.  Isn't he an OF?  OF already packed in Iowa, especially if Davis is coming back.

At least you are wearing full Cubs attire. My first trip to Wrigley Field was in 2018, I was in LA for a few days before making my way to Chicago for a few days and we have tickets to a game in July. I get dressed in the hotel, put my Cubs hat on. Go to the game and take photos. Go back to the hotel at night and get out of my clothes. Go back home after my holiday and look through my photos. “YOU IDIOT!!!”. I never realised I went to the game looking like a tourist - I am wearing a top that says “Los Angeles” on it and my Cubs cap on. 🙄

No one has been called up. Edwards and Thompson both threw today so neither are likely to be called up for a few days. Edwards struggled with control. 

 

This is likely the bullpen for the next handful of days.

When did Wesneski throw last? Is it him and Thompson in Iowa and Arias in Tenn that are the only other pitchers on the 40 man?

He went 3.1 IP Saturday. Threw just under 70 pitches.

I'd assume they wanted 4+ days of rest after that many pitches early in the season. So maybe he'd be available to join the club tomorrow or Thursday and be used.

Gomes was on lineup to start tonight
