If the refs don't call Moore out of bounds, is this one of the best games by a WR ever?

How many additional yards would that have been?  Probably another 30 or so and a 4th TD?  260 yards would vault him to 20th most in a game. Not sure how many also had 4 TD

Fields has had at least 211 passing yards in every game except the terrible TB game. While 200 passing yards is not exactly a high bar to clear, it does represent an improvement over last year when he averaged 149 yards per game

KC game, but yeah. Even including a 99 yard game he’s on pace for almost 3,900 yards, which would be a bears record. (Obviously the 17th game helps his cause compared to past bears QBs.)

I'm watching NFL Network, they're reviewing some of Moore' and Fields highlights. Commanders DB's seem to be doing quite a bit of looking at Fields, you know the whole staring down his primary target thing. Fields is looking them off and making them pay, it's about time.  Another thing, when the hell are NFL officials going to start calling roughing plays for Fields?  Payne body slams him, no call, tell me Allen, Rodgers, anyone else doesn't get that call.

Like I said, I'm legitimately intrigued by what I've seen this week in terms of getting the football out of his hands and giving his receivers an actual chance, finally.

But I wouldn't be me if I didn't point out that we once saw Mitchy T throw for more yards, more TDs and fewer turnovers over a two-game stretch.

Remove the false positive against the Bears and Jordan Love is not so good.  Yeah, I'm gloating but, early on, all the talk of Farve to Rodgers to Love in string of franchise GB franchise QB's was getting nauseating.

True enough, I'm cautiously optimistic, we'll see if he continues forward.

I don’t think he’s all that great either but I’m gonna give him more than 4 games before I’m declaring him a bust. I think he’s proven that he’s not a complete dud but he’s trending towards being pretty mediocre

The crazy thing is that he’s largely been held in check running the ball this year. It’s still a weapon for him of course but he’s not breaking off 80 yard TD runs like he was last year. If defenses are forced to respect his arm those running lanes are gonna be there again.

I hope he never runs again and it becomes like a weird sports trivia thing where people are surprised he had a lot of rushing yards one season early in his career

Not sure what made me think of this but the Bears have still not won on a Sunday since Week 3 of last season against the Texans. Obviously they didn’t have an opportunity to do that this week, but strange factoid nonetheless

I think he's gonna take much worse hits in the pocket behind that line. He seems to have gotten a little better at sliding and not getting blasted. I bet he still ends up over 500 yards rushing at least.

If the Bears finish with 6 or 7 wins, Fields throws for 4K, 32 TDs 14 INT and Carolina nets us the 1st overall pick do you still draft Williams and thus reset the rookie QB deal? Or do you trade that pick for an absolute haul and continue on with Fields? They were talking about this on the Score yesterday and it seems like the consensus was still drafting Williams.

If the consensus is that Williams is a "generational" talent (sorry, Kyle), they should draft him and try to trade Fields for what they can get. Then Poles better get serious about getting protection and skill people.

Feels good to celebrate a win for the first time in a year. And for those worried about draft pick status, if all the 1-3 teams lose and match the Bears 1-4 record (they won't Denver/Jets and Cincy/Zona play each other) the Bears are still in the #2 spot due to weakness of schedule. If Carolina somehow beats Detroit, the Bears would be in the #1 spot themselves. But the most likely scenario after this weekend is a much needed Bears win, and a much desired result of remaining in the 1-2 spots in the 2024 NFL draft.

I think if Fields puts up those numbers, and finishes with 7 wins (6-6 rest of the way), you probably have to keep him. I mean at this point, you HOPE Williams can give you that type of production. You know Fields can do it. You gotta pick up the 5th year option (still wouldn't sign him long-term) but I think those numbers make you pretty confident that Fields is the guy and the proverbial bird in the hand.

It's a really tough call though when you throw in coaching. You probably hang on to Getsy/Flus if they finish 7-10 with 7 wins in their last 13 games (including last night). You don't want Fields to have to learn a 3rd offense in your organization coming off of 4000/30. If you can somehow keep the same coaching tree and very similar terminology, then it's probably fine. But if Fields is that good, this is your coaching staff/front office/QB combo for a while.

Really like Jenkins being back, hope he can stay on the field because he's mauler who makes a difference.  Can't help but like the bookends of Wright and Jenkins, saw a clip on X, Fields keeper and Wright knocks down a DB like he was a bowling pin.

What if they do finish 6-11, 7-10 or somewhere in that area, do you draft Harrison or the OS LT 1st? Id be tempted to draft Harrison, then best avail OL/DL later

Harrison all the way, imagine if this play from Fields is real, what him and Moore could do, quite probably things we've never seen from a Bears offense.

I was puzzled by the Wright pick, but he looks like a bear, swallowing DEs. He’s massive

You trade the pick.  Unless you're convinced Harrison is the second coming of Jerry Rice, the haul they could get for the #1 overall pick should allow the Bears to be in contention for the next 5-7 years.

Along with mobility, Poles has a type, with Wright it appears to be working.  We also heard Dexter' name yesterday, it's coming.
