Watching those "every pass" videos for Stroud and Young each week.

Maybe Young will snap it together at some point, but right now I just can't feel like we missed out at all. I don't believe he completed a single pass outside the numbers more than 5 yards down the field this week.  He drops back and either hits a little dunker crossing route over the middle, or he checks down, that's his entire game.  And there's no *way* you can convince me his height isn't causing him vision problems in the pocket.

I agree Young has been super underwhelming, but Stroud has been kind of great. He's 4th in the NFL in passing yards and has yet to throw a pick.

Much more informed work here than my repeatedly calling the decision to trade up for Young an unmitigated disaster.

Bryce Young so far is basically Jimmy Clausen with better PR. The difference is Clausen sucking got Carolina Cam Newton, while Bryce sucking is going to gift the Bears a blue-chip draft pick.

Tre White will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles. Man, this hurts me, not just because I’m a Bills fan, but for just sad for Tre himself. He just fought back from a torn ACL. He’s as likable a player as you’ll meet and one of the most under-talked about corners in the league, IMO.

Seems this defense has had a never ending rash of injuries over the past few seasons. Tre, Von, Hyde, Hamlin, Tre again.

Nice to see the Saints offense starting to click against a solid Patriots defense, but wow, New England is godawful on offense.  They’ve got zero weapons on that side of the ball.

I know it's only 5 games into his career and you can't really judge a QB this soon, but it's hard to watch him play and feel like we missed out.  It's funny watching Carolina fans already go through the "is our QB a bust?" cycle of panic. I'm feeling *real* good about having their pick this year.

He *does* do a great job of sliding around in the pocket, but he has to because otherwise he wouldn't have sight lines or throwing lanes.  Otherwise, the arm's not special, the vision isn't specal, the athleticism isn't special. I'd want a lot more from a 1OA

He is bad. He has no path to be anything but bad unless he gets Dolphins-level weapons around him, and I doubt that would do it.

The only 2 reasons Carolina isn't looked at like a laughingstock the way Detroit and Cleveland and (somewhat) Jacksonville are are 1) Cam Newton, which was dumb luck, and 2) the fact that no one gives a horsefeathers about Carolina. There is no path forward for this franchise. It'll be at least 2026 before they're remotely competitive and it will take wholesale changes that they won't make for it to be that quick.

I am hesitant to gripe about all the Taylor Swift/Chiefs coverage, mainly because I hate to agree on anything with the football bro crowd, but there is only one reason that KC vs Vikings is the national 3pm game instead of Philly at Rams, and that is aggravating.

I’m sure Taylor Swift was part of the calculation, but the two games seem to be pretty similar in terms of a top caliber team, going on the road to face a mediocre/ bad team.

I believe this was the "national game" before the season started.  CBS and Fox alternate weeks of having the doubleheader. CBS had it this week, and the Chiefs/Vikes game was the national game. That means Fox only gets to show one game, either the early or late.
