As long as the Cubs can keep winning, the rest should take care of itself. The Braves and Dodgers are really the only teams in the NL that have consistently won all season (side note, the Dodgers suddenly have the second best record in baseball).

I think the rest of the season will come down to how much the Cubs rotation holds up.  They haven't had "good Stroman" in months so they have succeeded without him before, but they needed a mega-hot lineup to do it.  The pen just has to keep being lights-out, and we need some luck in the pen, some guys after Steele having a good month and a half like the 2nd half of last year.

Yeah, that would have been an especially fun one to listen to.

I mean, I can imagine the 45 seconds of silence after a dejected “and this ballgame is ova” as the ball clears the fence. But it’s not the same as actually hearing it.
