We're going to go at least 6 days between Cubs wins.  After watching them win almost every night for 3 weeks, this is like going cold turkey.

I miss that momentary feeling when I wake up and my brain is still getting out of sleep mode when a thought flashes across my mind "oh yeah the Cubs won against last night" and ever so slightly starts my morning off a little better. 

Yes I'm weird.

Gomes slugging around 525 with OPS areounf 840 against lefties. Why not Gomes?

I couldn't tell you what his recent splits look like, but I just know he has looked completely lost at the plate for the last few weeks or more.

I get it though, put him in a good matchup for him and maybe he gets a hit and starts breaking out of the slump.
