Yes, it seems as if I'm now an old man. I went to bed a little after 8 pm.

Wow, that game got out of hand last night. I checked out when it was 3-1 Nationals, only to find the Cubs scored eleventeen runs late in the game to win by two touchdowns.

ESPN.com is listing Trevor Williams as the Nats starter

He’s allowed 1 run in 12.2 IP against the Cubs since they traded him and his dad away.

Who else is predicting a 5-1 loss?

I give up on predicting with them. If I remember right they rank very high on number of 10+ run games this year and then for the next few games they'll do basically nothing until you're convinced the offense is dead and another 10+ run game happens.

It's as if Jed decided to put together a team that would actively spit in the face of the BABIP gods.

Really happy that Barnhart gets the start over Amaya.  Maybe knowing he will get zero run support will make Kyle really buckle down, play with a lot of outward emotion, and pitch well tonight.

Why do they have to be so damn frustrating?

Probably skewed by relatively few starts from Hendricks but Kyle's ERA by catcher:

Amaya: 2.53

Gomes: 2.87

Barnhart: 7.84

Kyle calls his own game, so I think the already tenuous value that catcher ERA has is even less relevant.

Didn't Wisdom just homer off a righty? He's sitting.  Amaya sitting, as well, even though he's been catching Kyle.

Wisdom has better splits this year against righties. I can’t believe that he’s playing Mastrobuoni again.

Can someone explain to me what Barnhart beings to the table that Amaya can’t, I’m just not seeing it.
