Doubt it. He’s still selling Tom on the rebuild component. Ross would be the scapegoat this year and Jed next year.

I agree. With the exception of a few recent bad losses, this team has been losing way too many winnable games. That is the type of thing that usually falls on the manager's shoulders.  In reality though, roster construction is much more to blame for the Cubs' current position.

Yeah but for not I’d accept Alzolay or Hughes for now. Really not sure why they thought Keegan was the answer tonight. Some of that is hindsight but even when he’s getting results he doesn’t look that good

The problem is 'eventually' probably won't be this year, at least in an everyday sense. The Cubs won't be comfortable using Heuer on back-to-back days and things like that probably at any point this season. And considering we'll probably be out of contention by the time he gets back, they shouldn't be.
