So Rodgers says he wants to play for the Jets, Wingo says he's not the hold up...Here's me hoping this is to say the Jets' interest is as manufactured and not particularly true as I imagine, mostly just the league making noise to cover the availability of the franchise QB 15 years younger or w/e...I'm thinking the longer he isn't a Jet the less likely it is but just talking out of my butt

I'm probably going to regret saying this, but talking purely in terms of Rodgers' interview, it feels genuine to me. Working out the particulars between the teams is another story.

Mayfield to Rams Bucs, Dalton to Panthers, Darnold to 49ers

*yawn*

Right, that, whatever, YAWN

It makes a difference. We need the NFC South teams other than Carolina to have excellent records in 2023.

Mayfield isn't going to make a difference

You’re arguing with him.

This has gotta excite Packers fans re: Love:

Quote

"It's going to be a different role for him, certainly, and I think we all have to temper our expectations for him," LaFleur said. "It's different when you're going into a game vs. when you're starting a game. It's going to be a process, but it's going to be exciting for him, for us. I don't think any quarterback can truly do it on their own in this league. It's going to be everybody rallying around him and trying to play at their best ability so that he can go out there and perform as good as he possibly can."

Not a horrible quote as he's trying to lower expectations, but not effusive in praise either

Are we certain Rodgers will be moved to the Jets?

Since this completely mirrors the Favre/Rodgers situation, I bet the Packers will tell Rodgers that if he returns he will be the backup, just like they did with Favre.

I've seen articles suggesting the Packers are holding out for a first rounder. Thought this might be the holdup but, it's likely working out the financial picture that's taking time.  The Packers demanding a first rounder is probably fluff because I don't believe any GM is going to trade a first for Rodgers.

The Packers GM actually stated earlier this week that the Packers do not need a First Round pick to complete the trade.  I think the Jets and Packers brass know exactly how this will unfold (for the most part), but feel no need to make it public. What I’ve read is the Jets want some type of “trade back” from the Packers if AR only plays one season. It’s really all just speculation at this point.

As tempting as it might be to get the full Sunday Ticket after Carolina drafts Quarterback X in a couple weeks, as a poor I'm already pushing it with RedZone ($12/mo add-on), and another $200+ for Sunday Ticket would be crazytown.

YouTube Tv released their Sunday ticket pricing for 2023. Early bird special thru early June starting at $249

NFL Sunday Ticket: How to buy, pricing, early bird discounts - YouTube Blog

Does anyone have NFL+?  If so, how is it?  I'm usually working on Sunday so I don't get to watch the games until later in the day.  NFL+ says it has replays of the games as soon as they are over, but I seem to remember looking into it last year (before DirecTV gave me free Sunday Ticket) and seeing a lot of complaints about the app.

Dan Snyder bought Washington along with a brand new stadium in 1999 for $800 million. He ran that franchise into the ground, had to remove seats from the stadium to avoid being blacked out, and engaged in - at best - boorish, if not criminal, behavior while running the team, until essentially being forced to sell by the NFL.

During his 24 years of ownership, Washington has a grand total of 1 playoff victory (coming in the first year) and 5 winning seasons.

He agreed to sell the team today for $6.05 billion, better than quadrupling his investment when adjusted for inflation.

NFL owners are Bond villains.

I have it. I thought I would use it a lot more than I did. I don't have cable so I thought I could use it to watch live games or watch them later and plug my computer into my TV HDMI.

The live game worked but is subject to all the same blackout stuff (local game only).

Watching later seemed to work fine, but if you tried to move the slider ahead in the game it got all f'd up and would lock/lag/drag and it sucked. So if I wanted to go back 10 seconds to rewatch something it took a minute or two before it was right. I have Fiber optic and really good speeds, btw

The condensed games were fun, but they don't have many replays and the same lag thing happened on this.

If you can stand the lag issues it's worth the $99 in my opinion
