Illini get things rolling tonight in the post-Ayo era.

Unfortunately, they're also without Cockburn, Curbelo, Frazier and Hutcherson tonight, because of injury and suspension.

That was a hideously ugly game.

Honestly a bit worried about Arkansas State on Friday if they don't have at least one of Curbelo or Frazier available.

Not overly concerned, it was the first game and none of their top 4 scoring options were present. If anything it was one of their few chances this season to get a serious look at the back half of the rotation with some serious minutes, but there is nothing of value to take away in terms of overall team expectations from this one.

I'm only worried about the ballhandling for ASU, not the season in total. They've got some decent players and we could end up with an ugly looking loss if neither Trent nor Curbelo can play.

Both Trent and Curbelo could have gone against JSU. They’ll be in against ASU.

Hutchenson is the one I’m worried about. Not sure if he’ll ever be healthy.

Are the scorebugs for CBB driving anyone else nuts?

It seems like these things go on trends that ll the other networks copy. It started with football but its even worse with basketball because it takes up a wide percentage of the court/field. No one needs the team names in 48 pt font, along with the names of the commentators, a team logo and then a bottom line with other games going on, their spread and the O/U. And then on some like in the NBA they throw up giant advertisements for future ESPN NBA games on it. Who approved these giant oversized scorebugs?

Yes I see the irony of these giant images in the same point I'm complaining about oversized graphics and yes I stole this rant from Defector. They were driving me nuts before I saw the article:

I don't think it'll be a problem.

Hahahaha, wow what a difference those two make.

And Coleman Hawkins might just be making a leap

I'm making the short drive from Irving Park to Milwaukee this evening. It sucks Kofi isn't playing, but I'm pretty pumped to get out to a game.

One point in the last 5 and a half minutes?!

Isn't kicking the ball to force a steal not legal? No one really talked about that so I assume I am missing something

That was about as poor a game I’ve seen from a PG

Trying to play with the after effects of a concussion, it's obvious something' not right, took himself out the game last night. Illini fans dumping all over the kid, let them try and play with lingering effects from a concussion. Fortunately, I've never experienced a concussion, heard from others who have and many say it took several weeks to feel right again.

Is there like some rule that if Michigan football does well the basketball team can’t and vice versa? I know it’s early season but Michigan has some considerable issues. Some are fixable, but some seem to be beyond hope.

I thought their high ranking was a bit unrealistic with so much turnover. And bad point guard play is a real problem in CBB

Good job by the Illini tonight, had a little 8-5 action going against them, still managed to win. Out rebounded those piss yellow and black fucks by nearly 30, had they committed a few less TO's would have won by double digits. I loathe Iowa basketball, hope ISU puts a beating on them next.
