Well horsefeathers. I like the return. Hate that we're at this point.

One extra thought on this....I'm glad the Cubs are willing to pick up all the remaining salary to maximize the return. That makes the potential Bryant & Kimbrel returns much more promising.

Hell, they should pick up some of the option money for Kimbrel to bring back better prospects, too

Rizzo gave us ten great years, lived through the awful rebuild and walked away a legend who helped break the curse. Happy trails

Besides, you know, catching the final out of the world series, my favorite Rizzo memory is the time that magazine published an analysis of people's faces and confirmed scientifically that he has a freakishly tiny face.

I lost Ed Truck Anthony Rizzo and it feels like somebody took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears. And, at the same time, somebody else is hitting my soul in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer. And then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bone.

am i the only one who doesn't really feel sentimental about this? it's all just meh to me. maybe it's because this has been coming for so long, or maybe because of the vaccine stuff. i don't know. i'm just not really feeling sad at the moment, and i was pretty sad the day len left.

Ross is very tight with Rizzo & Bryant. He could have left it up to them. We just don't know.

Had to have been Jed’s call, right? Seems odd neither would have wanted one last PA.

The last time my life just felt good and positive and like disaster wasn't on the horizon was when Rizzo caught the final out in the 2016 World Series.

Shortly after, we had Trump. And then climate change started really kicking in. And then a pandemic. Now everywhere I look there are fascists and things are awful and I'm constantly worried about what's coming next.

But for that one brief moment in time everything was great and only getting better. I'll always remember him fondly for that. I hope this isn't the end of his time with the Cubs. But if it is, I want nothing but the best for him.

2016 feels so long ago. Just constant gut punch after gut punch since.

I can't see Rizzo coming back. He'll be too expensive for Jed/Ricketts or too popular somewhere else.

God I hate PTR for not allowing the Verlander deal, We all deserved another WS, fans and Riz

It isn't annoying me nearly as much as I would have assumed it would have two months ago, let alone two years ago.

Not sure what a scuttle is, but this was the moment where Rizzo became the heart of the Cubs. Not like this is news to anyone here.
