Hope they can get a long term deal

Yea. Certainly the cap mechanics are less complicated if they can extend him and lower the 2021 hit. Anything is possible, but an extension is preferable unless you had some concern about locking him into his late 20s.

I had a feeling Kyle Long wanted to get back in the league. On Spiegel and Parkins, he said he was back up to playing weight and was working out again. He also smoothed over some of his Bears hate. Let him try out for LT or RT?

Hasn't it been all but said he's not a Nagy fan?

On 670 last week, Long took some blame and he said that he was mainly immature and mad that he was injured. I don’t see any hate with Long for Nagy now.

Acquiring a competent QB would probably help.

Just in terms of Arobs willingness to agree to something you mean?

Yeah.

If Robinson is signed, he along with Mooney and an improving Kmet might be about the best targets Russell Wilson has ever had or pretty damn close to the best.

He currently has Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Thats better than Robinson/Mooney.

Statistically Robinson and Metcalf are pretty close, nearly equal, Robinson' > Lockett but, Metcalf and Lockett both have it over Mooney so, as a package you're correct. How about Wilson would have some good weapons to work with on the Bears? Plus as been mentioned, Wilson not having to deal with Carroll. It's probably all academic, I refuse to believe something this great could happen for the Bears. It's against the rules.

I'm pretty high on Mooney, so maybe they could get there, but certainly not today.

Lots of Twitter buzz re: Wilson on the basis of betting sites.

For whatever that's worth..

I saw something about how Draft kings took down the odds for Wentz and Stafford the day before their trades went down and the Russ odds were taken down today. Is that what you are talking about?

If it happens amazing but I’m not really getting my hopes up. Seems way too good to be true and I’ve been involved with way too many obsessive transaction watches that haven’t panned out.

Lot of smoke around this, but all speculation right now.

Betting sites taking down Wilson trade odds. Also, a couple have increased the Bears SB odds slightly (likely more due to Robinson getting tagged)

Josina Anderson tweeting "Welp" and logging off Twitter for the night a few hours after tweeting about how the Bears HAVE to get a QB

Apparently Akiem Hicks and maybe Anthony Miller unfollowed the Bears on Instagram or some crap. Hicks would be a potential cut or trade candidate to clear some cap room. Which could also be unrelated to a trade as the Bears have to cut like 18M more to get under the cap by next week.

I’m so sick of the “unfollowed team on social media” speculation. 99% of the time they never followed the team to begin with or are doing it just to troll fans

The betting books thing is interesting, because that's been a legit tipoff for big moves before. I guess my question is does it also happen when stuff's not going down, and it only gets pointed out when the timing is interesting?

I won’t get my hopes up on Wilson until I hear he’s leading a rendition of Bear Down, Chicago Bears in a karaoke bar.
