lol

I feel like everything since the double doink has turned Mays from playfully cynical about the Bears to basically Kyle, and it's pretty great to watch.

Say what you will about Ryan Pace, he is not afraid to move on from guys that aren't working out with the team.

That's a good thing but fans can't let go of sunk costs.

As to Miller, it entirely depends on what they do with the slot WR spot. When I look at Miller he's not particularly a guy I want past his rookie deal. But there is probably still some value in his last year. The marginal cost of throwing together some intriguing slot options (and hopefully factoring in a healthy Cohen) shouldnt be that high.

It's reasonable, but it's also underwhelming, given the QB talent that has been available so far this offseason.

Given the cost of what the other options off the board have gone for, I'm honestly not in love with any option off the board. If I could step into the contract/trade terms of the other guys who've moved I don't think I would.

Granted if Dalton gets like 10M. BOOOO. But I'll hold out some hope it's a averaging backup deal if it goes down.

You better be booing

Congrats to Pace on building a team with a ceiling of divisional round playoff participant.

I feel bad being disappointed about the Bears possibly getting Wentz. I'd kill for that experiment right now.

So many people keep saying this doesn't stop them from making a trade. I don't get how. Unless you somehow include Dalton in the trade (can you even trade a newly signed free agent?) or release him, that's a $40+m QB room. But why would Dalton even sign with the Bears if there was a realistic shot he'd be pushed aside in a week or two anyway?

Dalton works on this roster. He's a quality backup either for a big acquisition or as a caddy for a draft pick. And I assume Dalton + Foles' dead money will be less than Foles salary (and if not, horsefeathering christ Pace).

Oh, you sweet naive child

I think it's a sign Russ deal is dead, perhaps because the Bears decided they had to horsefeathers or get off the pot and move to plan D. But if next week it magically reappeared, they could find a way. 40M QB room be damned.

Already feeling better. The QB market just sucks. They should have conceded on 2021 long ago, but...

how does this make you feel better?

Dalton can earn up to $13m

Because it doesn't appear there's gonna be reasonably cheap alternatives (like Taylor) and going into late April with only Foles with a team apparently trying to compete seems super dumb.

I’m going to start a GoFundMe to cover my bail, court costs, and attorney fees to go beat the ever living horsefeathers out of Pace until he resigns. This [expletive] has to go now.

What rookie? The Bears dont draft QBs with 1 notable exception. I doubt they use a draft pick on a 3rd round QB or something. They should but they wont

I was proud of the Bears for willing to risk better options going off the table to try to land a HR like Watson or Wilson. But those don't come to fruition and they went for the safest low ceiling QB out there. Ride that horsefeathers out and if you dont have a QB by draft throw some picks at it. I'm sure you'll have to pay a crapload because everyone knows Pace is in desperate need of a QB but whatever he would probably overpay regardless
