3 game series is so much better than the winner take all. Not saying I'm in favor of 8 teams per league but its still almost as tense as a winner take all with a little more margin for error if you make a mistake.

 

Still going to get situations where a much weaker team has 2 good days and wins, but it feels more fair IMO
