Some internet sleuth on Reddit found that the owners of the Redskins.com domain have purchased DCSentinels.com .

YMMV

Rumors are that Snyder and Chico both want military theme to the name.

Redtails seems like such a no brainer if that's the desire, but not surprising at all they they'd go a much more traditional and generic theme like that if so.

So if DC finally gets statehood and has to rename, would the team be renamed again? Not that it's that big a deal as the Angels changed from California to Anaheim to LA all in the span of like 15 years.

Yeah, that report seems to be leading the speculation that the name will be the Sentinels. Not the worst name, I guess (evidently it was the runner-up for the XFL team's name Defenders), but sort of bland. Red Tails would probably be the best option but it doesn't look like that will happen.

If DC gets statehood I'd say there a fair chance the DC initials would stay in some form so they could probably be DC with no big deal.

The Washington NFL franchise has decided to punt on the name for this year, and will simply be known as the Washington Football Team, shortened of course to WTF.

Will they have a whole cast reunion for the first game?

You tricked me, but wait, no it doesn't.

Doesn't matter, I'm calling them the WTFs for the foreseeable future.

Just got an email from Ted Phillips. Not really a surprise but all 2020 season tickets will either be refunded or rolled over to 2021 based on the ticket holder's preference. Also, in the event fans are allowed into games, individual tickets will only be sold to STH.

So am I correct in thinking any non-STH who had already bought single game tickets will not be able to use those tickets and be refunded? My cousin bought two tickets for the Bears-Colts game back in April. I never actually expected to be able to attend that game but he was willing to put up the $$$ for the tickets just in case.

At least the Cubs gave us a 5% bonus for holding on to our money until some undetermined date.

horsefeathers that's right. Then the Bears better not increase ticket prices next year. Its usually about 5% per year. Virginia must be poorer than PTR

The return is solid, I guess, .......

Solid? Two first rounders, a third rounder and a starter at the same position. What would've been a great return???

It will depend on whether Seattle can get him signed to a new contract as to whether this trade was worth it, IMO.
