Super Bowl was won by a quarterback the Bears passed on, something that has only happened in probably most Super Bowls.

Did anyone else think the refs were pretty bad throughout?

Obviously the delay of game was missed but there were several hits to the QB head and one obvious helmet to helmet against Jimmy G that should have called as well as someissed offsides. I thought KC's offensive line did a fair amount of uncalled holding too.

No, not at all. Complete opposite actually. They let people play. That delay of game non penalty is how that is (not)called all the time. It drives me nuts every time I see it, but so be it.

Thank you for reminding me that dabum was a 49ers fan, making last night an excellent result, and killing most of my morning looking thru dabum archives.

He was the classic 49ers/Cubs/Rockets fan

Well everybody passed on Brady multiple times and he wins most of them.

Hitting 0 on the play clock does not make it delay of game. Its delay of game when it hits zero on the play clock and the back judge blows his whistle. If the play gets off before he blows his whistle it is not a penalty

I just lost my work’s squares pool because that guy didn’t go down.

I am not happy right now.

Yeah, that last scamper into the endzone cost me $350 in earnings. Still won money, so can't really complain.

Trubisky and the Bear' have grin and take this constant [expletive] narrative, at the very least, it's providing lots of bulletin board incentive material for Mitch. Chances are we won't see significant improvement but, I believe Mitch is going to give a supreme effort in trying to get better for whatever that's worth.

A flag fest in the Super Bowl would have been net negative. I liked the way it played out.

I wish regular games would be called this way instead of every ticky-tack penalty getting called. This game was more about the teams than the refs. That's a good thing, but it definitely was not consistent with what we've become accustomed.
