7 footers who can handle the ball like that and pull off that off balance shot are not a dime a dozen

True, but there are several in the league, and calling that play a "14/10" is ridiculously hyperbolic

that shot is extremely hard to make

I do because a lot of them aren't actually dogs.

Yeah sorry to be that guy that complains about an exciting win but we could have moved to within a half game of the best possible lottery odds

If the best possible lottery odds would be stating in 4th, a game ahead of the Cavs, then the Bulls did nothing to hurt themselves last night.

The Bulls have been in 4th for the last two months, they'll likely be 4th in a month, and there's no chance they fall out of the top 5. The only damage the Bulls do by playing well is making it less likely that a regime change will happen.

Best possible odds are top 3. But also the value of being higher is you can’t drop as far. Right now Bulls can pick from 1-7, if they don’t pass the Cavs they get 1.5% higher odds of #1, 4% better odds of finishing top 4, and can’t fall farther than 7th. Not a huge gain but I’d prefer to be in that position if possible.

I'll admit I was pulling for the Bulls to win last night. Something about Jimmy Butler pisses me off now. His personality has definitely changed. Maybe he's always been an horsefeathers and I just never noticed? On that last drive (for Philly), Jimmy actually hooks Zach's arm with his arm to draw the foul. Complete BS call.

I think the Bulls have a lot of potential, and that this rebuild has gone decently well. I'm just worried GarPax can't take the next step to legit playoff contender without some lottery luck. Remember that the Bulls a decade ago were a solid playoff team led by Deng, Noah, Hinrich and Ben Gordon before one single disastrous season left them with 1.7% odds at the #1 pick (DRose). That's what changed everything for the Bulls.

GarPax can't attract any big FAs and/or trade for a superstar that would be willing to sign an extension here. I'm worried they don't know how to "finish" the rebuild. So it's basically Zion and hope he develops into a star player. Otherwise, I think the Bulls become a playoff team next year. They're just not in the upper echelon of teams in the East. Will you be happy if they get the #6 seed and lose in the first round?

Sadly, GarPax and M. Reinsdorf will be very happy with that result.

13 games left - 1.5 out of the top 3, and 4.5 clear of dropping to 5.

New "only my teams" doomsday scenario - they end up in 3rd and Cleveland wins the lottery out of the 4 spot.

I know nothing about college basketball so I don't really have any strong opinions on this rumor, but it doesn't seem like a great idea.

Also Lavine is playing tonight, that is just grossly negligent on so many levels.

why is lauri imploding

He definitely looks like he could use a few "load management" games off. I get that they're trying to establish a culture (ha!) but the focus should be making sure the important players finish the season in one piece.

I'd also give Zach some time off too. Hope they can finish strong in the Zion race.

Could have ended the night 1 game behind the Suns for second worst record in the league and 0.5 behind Cleveland for 3rd worst. Instead it’s 3 GB the suns and 1 behind Cleveland. I know the difference in odds is not much between 3rd and 4th and there is no difference between 2nd and 3rd but it still matters because it determines how far you can fall if you don’t get lucky. At the 2nd spot you can’t fall below 6th, at the 4th spot you can fall to 8th.

Not sure how much it matters in a draft where there isn’t much separation between the 5th pick and the 15th pick (supposedly) but it’s certainly always good to have the highest pick possible.

This may be a dumb question but I haven’t really watched a Bulls game in a long time. Can Lavine play SG? In other words, could he fit next to Ja Morant on the floor at the same time?

Wait what? Can LaVine play SG? Do you mean PG?

I'm very confused by your statement. Ja Morant is a very talented PG who could play next to LaVine. They both will need the ball in their hands and will lead the offense at times.

I think the Bulls backcourt would be outstanding with those two guards.
