Wendell Carter Jr. is having likely season-ending surgery on a thumb injury, because when you're the Bulls, not even the tiniest ray of hope can go unextinguished.

There's no possible way this team doesn't get completely boned with the new lottery. (not that it matters anyways)

I guess he’s going to be waived soon

Yeah definitely. He’s been angling to go to a contender, no way he’s going to play for the Bulls ha

The Bulls traded for more cash considerations lol.

They actually got a player this time who has a non-zero value.

Is it the 3.6 per or the 0.383 TS%

I don’t expect him to be any good at all but he’s not some 37 year old vet or some euroleague draft pick that’s never coming over. He has at least a minute amount of potential. Thus non-zero value

He will probably struggle to stay in the league after this season. He's a former first rounder who had his 4th year option declined. There's probably dozens of G leaguers available to sign for the minimum who offer the same or better potential.

He has zero value.

Lots of whispers/rumors of the Bulls actively shoppinh players and listening on basically everyone except Lauri.

On the edge of my seat to see how much cash considerations they can net.

They should be listening to any reasonable offer on everyone except Markkanen and Carter, and if someone wants to make an unreasonable overpay for either of those two, they should listen to that too.

Porter is decent, but this is a tax move for the Wizards.

For the Bulls... I don't know. That they gave up the second rounder in a move like this is soooo Bulls though.

Edit--I guess it's a cap floor move for the Bulls. But why didn't they get some other asset back (let along giving up the 2nd). Was there really some other team that was taking Otto off their hands?

They are really committed to this 7th pick in the draft every year rebuild. The team in the 3rd largest market in the league knows months out that no one is going to want to sign to play for their garbage franchise.

On one hand: Zion, Lauri, WCJ, Lavine, Dunn would be a very nice young core.

On the other hand, Zion probably won't happen, their coach is a clown, the front office directionless and the culture is toxic. GARPAX should resign before they do any more damage.
