What I meant by Asik, Lopez, and Parker- Was that each salary represented opportunity to take on bad money. I get that only one team did it last off season, which is why I was ok adding Parker. If there's no market, there's no market. Supposedly they had picks included in bad contract offers on Lopez last deadline. And supposedly the Kings have sifted thru a few things currently they've yet to pull the trigger on, with their current space.

Anyway, time to watch Hutchison get a start.

Not a memorable first start for Hutchinson. I also would rather not watch Cameron Payne play basketball. Just really dislike his face.

So the only teams I think are worse than the Bulls, and it's hard to tell with injuries decimating the team right now, are the Hawks, Kings, Knicks and Nets?

I think Dallas is better than us this year. Phoenix is better and has the #1 pick (Ayton has been amazing so far) playing for them. Orlando is stuck in perpetual rebuild mode, but they have talent.

Honestly, it doesn't matter as much since the lottery odds aren't much higher for the team with the worst record now. As long as we finish with a bottom-5 record we have a good chance of landing a top pick. This draft class doesn't have a super talent at the top so teams shouldn't be blatantly tanking like last season. That said, the Bulls should still be tanking.

klay is probably going to break the single game record for three pointers made

I'm facing someone who has him in fantasy hoops so I hope that doesn't happen...

I have Steph on my squad and was hoping he would go off for 50+ pts again.

i want to see them go for 200

Me too. I was cheering for the warriors at the end of the half. I actually got mad when Thompson got called for that double dribble. This is what life as a Bulls fan is now, rooting for opponents to drop 200 on you

when the 76ers city edition jerseys leaked a couple of days ago, I was going to comment to say that I hoped the Bulls version would be the 4 stars across the chest instead of Chicago or Bulls...

Yeah thats pretty sweet. One of the few times I can't immediately criticize something the Bulls do.

Those are pretty nice, but the regular uniforms are better. That's a Nike complaint, not a Bulls one, though.

Unless the Bulls are wearing the uniforms with the "Chicago" in cursive, I like that new one better.

I recently saw some conversation on Chicago sports twitter about ranking all of the teams based on how far away they are from a playoff berth, and people seemed to consistently be placing the Bulls in last.

Without even getting into how much easier it is to make the NBA playoffs than the MLB playoffs, I really don't see how you can put the White Sox ahead of the Bulls at this point. (I realize this is damning with faint praise but I still don't really see how it's close)

Carter Jr. looks very solid already

Markkanen is very good and I am very high on his future

LaVine has been great

a couple of other guys on the roster that are at least mildly interesting i.e. portis and dunn

a bunch of those bulls guys obviously haven't been playing, and it's reflected in their current record, but people act as if the white sox rebuild is just going to automatically materialize just because the cubs and astros had success

Yeah I'm pretty down on the Bulls but I would still put them over the Sox at this point.

Pros for Sox:

- A lot of talent in the minors even though its maybe not all developing as well as they've hoped and some setbacks

- A lot of room for their payroll to go up

- The Indians are really the only team in the Central that is really set up to be a threat over the next couple of seasons (maaybe the Twins) and their window might be closing so you could see a best case scenario 85 win White Sox team take the AL Central

Cons for Sox:

- Simply a lot harder to make the playoffs in baseball in general, but especially in the AL as currently structured, than it is in the crappy as NBA Eastern Conference

- Attendance will always hurt their payroll ceiling

They're still in the Eastern conference, it's not ridiculous to think they make the playoffs this year yet. Especially when you consider they've gotten like 5 games out of 4 guys that are starters or heavy rotation players. The better discussion would be furthest from a championship team since the playoff structures are so different. Bulls are closer to making the playoffs, but I'd say the White Sox are closer to a championship just by the way the current NBA and MLB are.

i'd agree with that. of course, you could just about make that case for all but like 2-3 nba teams (most of which, yes, are way better than the bulls).

This team is going to wind up winning some games. They need to lose as much as possible thru the end of the year. Because I think they'll play close to .500, from January on, if they get the rest of the year to have LaVine, Carter, Lauri, and Dunn mesh.....

I want as much of a shot as possible at lucking into Williamson. Or Barrett. Or Reddish. Or Little.

But mainly Williamson. Holy horsefeathers.
