I'm really starting to think Caratini should start the wildcard game over Contreras.

That weak ground out in a 2-0 count sell you? I mean yes Contreras hasn’t been good for a month+ but Caratini has literally never been good except for like the smallest of sample sizes you want to pick.

 

Caratini's a better framer, yes? I don't think by amazing leaps and bounds, but I kinda would prefer to see the guy who arguably is going to best help the pitchers when the offense is this bad. Willson's shown zero indication that he's going to turn it around any time soon with the bat, and outside of being able to gun down guys on the bases sometimes, I'm struggling to see why he NEEDS to be in there.
