On a lighter note, I rewatched the first season of Detroiters this weekend, and it led to me finding this:

It's the greatest thing I've ever seen

Man, it's too bad Joe was forbidden from using this Randy Rosario guy earlier in the game. Poor Joe. POOR JOE.

There was no options! Tell the twitter guys there was no options!

How is this Maddon's fault?

I'm intrigued by you. You hate everything about the Cubs except for Maddon.

I'm fine with Maddon, so that's cool. But I'm still intrigued by you about this, and how you were pissed the Bulls lost a game the night the Cubs won the World Series.

I just don't get where you're finding a manager better than Maddon? Joe Girardi? Like if you hate Maddon, you're gonna hate Girardi too.

Want to know who'd be a better manager? Somebody who would yell at them.

The manager doesn't need to be a "proven" guy. Joe being better than Mike Matheny is not a defense. Put some intern in there who will do whatever a room full of nerds tells him to do.

"I just don't get you guys. We have the best six-year run in our history and you can't enjoy it. The second World Series title we won came in a season when we got swept by the last-place Cincinnati Reds. It happens. Relax."

Last year I figured it was only a matter of time before we kicked it on. I have no idea why but I don't feel that way this year.

We had the best record in the NL before this series. There was nothing that needed to be kicked on. This series sucks and is embarrassing but the comparisons to last year's team don't really hold.

The fact that the Cubs were a .500 team at this point last year is cold comfort

This is the worst team in the Maddon era. The starting pitching isn't good at all and only Lester can get through 6 innings. The bullpen has been great but they'll be broken by August with how bad the SP has been at going deep into games. The offense is inconsistent as hell and full of underachieving players that can't hit for power.

Are you at least OK with Brandon Hyde?

Yeah, stuff joke this happens I baseball. Last year, the Astros got swept by the White Sox. Not that I haven’t been frustrated by this team and its manager. But there’s no reason to freak out.

Best single first sentence of a post in board history.

I agree.

It's so weird how much more frustrating this team is even though it's easily better than last year's at this point (I don't feel like I'm alone there). It's probably just the extra year removed from the title that's doing it, I guess.

Underwood??? Tseng? Lester is on regular rest for tomorrow.

I want Underwood. If we are going to have an awful pitching performance, I'd rather it be somebody doing it for the first time.

ETA: Oh, wait. You might have been asking why people are saying those guys when Lester is on regular rest. They already said Lester is starting Tuesday.
