Last year I figured it was only a matter of time before we kicked it on. I have no idea why but I don't feel that way this year.

 

We had the best record in the NL before this series. There was nothing that needed to be kicked on. This series sucks and is embarrassing but the comparisons to last year's team don't really hold.

 

last year we had eloy and cease to fix a hole. this year we have nothing to get anybody with, and are just counting on bad players getting better. this team is better than the 2017 cubs were at this time, but they are also in a much more perilous position.

The Saturday game was the worst. Sitting in the RF bleachers with a bunch of redneck homer Reds fans who were all chesty and had horrible opinions about everything.
