I did the math. If we go 2 of 3 and the cards go two of three, we would be 4.5 up on Milwaukee and 5 on the Salsa Kings.

I think the Phillies are the top team I'd want to face in round one. They'd have burned Nola in the WC game, and they're just not that scary when he's not on the mound.

 

The Braves lineup absolutely wrecks lefties, so they're probably a bad matchup for us even though they're not particularly scary in a vacuum. Other than that everyone besides the Dodgers is good enough that they could be a problem but not so good to be intimidating. A healthy Nats team would be scary, but they're done. They've dug themselves too big of a hole.

It’s possible Nola gets used on Saturday or Sunday of the regular season if they’re chasing the division or need to secure the playoff spof

I know we hate them, but I’d be fine with facing the Cardinals. They suck. If we wouldn’t have to play 2 games on the moon I’d say the Rockies would be my clear top choice. Glad the Nats are missing out, everyone else I’m mostly fine with facing.
