fix'd

I hope he will put up more than 160 innings.

Does seem a little light, but I expect this year to be much like 2016 where the regular season is essentially semantics and we’ll be able to limit innings and skip starts/go 6-man rotation the last month+

Yeah, I hope that is the case. What is jarring is that they have him projected for more losses than wins. That's silly. Was this proj made without knowledge of what team he was playing on?

Who cares about horsefeathering pitcher wins let alone predicting/projecting them

Who’s gonna break the news to Seal Boy he has to give up his number and loses his BFF?

La Stella switched to no. 2 after the 2015 season. 11 was on John Mallee and it's technically on Drew Smyly right now, but you (and Yu) figure that probably won't be a sticking point.

Well, I'm well aware of how useless of a stat it is for evaluating the worth of a pitcher, but I would like Yu to have a lot of wins this year.

This dragged out so long that, despite all the rumors connecting the Cubs, I was starting to feel pessimistic about Yu signing with us. This almost feels like a pleasant surprise now.

some win yu, some lose yu

Enough with the terrible Yu puns please... Can we have a moratorium on them at least till opening day?

Dear God. No No No. (sigh)

Some dumbass is going to write, "Yu can't always get what Yu want".

I walked right into that one...

How can the Lester signing be an example of one that worked out when he's only won 1 World Series for the Cubs so far?

The idea that you should just never sign a big FA because the backend of the deal is never worth it is just ... it's something I'm shocked to hear from Kenny as he doesn't seem like a Take Guy.

Really? For some reason, I'm not shocked.

10-7-10 are the amount he has won the last 3 seasons he has pitched...he better be better than that for 20+ million

i'm starting to suspect you actually get enjoyment out of picking out meatball comments to respond to and aren't just ridiculously patient responding to stupid people on twitter.

ahh yes this is the good horsefeathers

How is Darvish not the worlds best fielding pitcher with the way he finishes his delivery?

Not according to Brian Kenny. It would've been a good signing if only he would field his position better.

So when should this physical be done and press conference happen? Im guessing they have the press conference in Arizona?

With just about the entire Cubs media contingent (and I'm pretty sure the FO) down there already, I'd assume yes, in Arizona.
