yeah that was certainly forearm. it sucks and it will hurt (and I'd expect maybe a day or two off) but i don't think it lingers after that.

Yeah, after seeing that bump on the zoom in and him still squeezing his hand I feel like it could still be bad. You'd think the trainer could do a quick diagnosis on the field and generally be right there's no breaks. Hopefully it's just a bad bruise and 10-day DL at worst. I'd guess it's a good thing it's his forearm at least and not wrist like Lee.

advancements implies that he was bad at it before(I don't think that's the case), but yes, Russell was very good on high fastballs last year, especially in the second half
