4/10: Dodgers (Alex "not Rich Hill" Wood) @ World Champeen Cubs (Lester the Dodger Molester) 7:05PM CST on ESPN

Posted

Rich Hill's got blisters on he fingers, or something. I dunno; he's broken again, so Alex Wood is pitching. It doesn't really matter who the Dodgers put out there because Lester is going and I'm assuming LA is still a bunch of schnooks against pitchers with the mystical ability to throw with their left hand. Lester might look like he escaped from Making a Murderer, but there's nobody else I'd rather the WORLD SERIES CHAMPION CUBS have out there for their triumphant return home.

Bang a dong/get it on, motherhunkers:

I went back and read the first page of the last Wrigley Field game thread, that was a lot more upbeat than I was expecting and actually quite prophetic.

I was thinking about going to hang out at Wrigley tomorrow night to watch the banners go up, but with my luck I'd pick the side where the (presumably) 1907 and 1908 banners go up and miss the 2016 one.

I'll be in the bleachers for opening day! For anyone is going to the game or to Wrigleyville tomorrow night, bring an umbrella or rain gear - thunderstorms are likely in the late afternoon/early evening.

That game was surreal. Just a very weird vibe. I don't know why but I felt upbeat going into it, despite also being distraught. And then Eddie put me at ease. I felt really good about our chances after we won that game.

So is ESPN going to show all of the pregame festivities?

I don't believe CSN is showing anything due to a bulls game?

Anyone have any info on this? I don't want to miss anything and I don't trust ESPN and their countless commercials.

They've been making a big deal out of it, so I would say yes.

Baseball Tonight is scheduled before the game. I can't imagine they will do more than just some live look-ins.

I'm guessing Baseball Tonight will be broadcasting from Wrigley and all of it will be aired.

Is the Green Lot or Camry lot as it now called still open to the general public? Haven't parked there in a couple years. I am going Wednesday and probably won't get there until 6pm so I am hoping the lot isn't full being that it is ring night.
