the rockies offense is such a sham

Their fans on twitter are the best. Mention Coors and they will actually debate that the environment there isn't any different than anywhere else. Mix in Petriello having to explain why Bryant is better than Arenado on a daily basis and it's just so much fun to watch

Holy horsefeathers. I met a Rockies fan on my work trip last week and you basically just described him exactly. Arenado v Bryant was the biggest argument he had for me, but he did spend some time explaining how it's not the environment, basically every single pitcher in Rockies history has just been bad. And Aaron Cook is proof that the environment isn't an issue for some reason.

They are probably the same people arguing against climate change despite mountains and mountains of evidence that destroys any argument they could have.

Also, the Pirates suck.

Giving up 10+ runs to the Giants, in San Francisco at night should count for 5 losses and possible disqualification from postseason play.

I would have to assume the Nats can win at least one of the next two with the Vaunted Brewers so the Cubs should enter the weekend series up at least half a game.

eh i still think the coors effect on overall numbers is overstated a tad considering it tends to make their players suck on the road too

Yep. The same thing that makes them so good at Coors (the environment screwing with off-speed pitches) can probably be blamed for making them less good on the road (hard to get used to those swings in movement)

Especially for someone who came up through Colorado's minor league system(California League, Texas League and at the time Colorado Springs), it's entirely possible that someone could be shielded by an innate inability to hit/lay off breaking stuff too.

Put another way, Arenado's minor league line is .300/.345/.473 (in almost exclusively hitters leagues) and his MLB line is .289/.335/.530, it's far more likely he's getting a significant benefit from Coors than he's somehow finding a happy medium with the hangover effect.

Pirates lose.

Just need continued Brewers sucking and all will be cool.

It's funny, I have a hard time rooting against NL central teams. I want pirates and brewers to keep winning almost as often as the Cubs do and take both WC spots. I feel like it legitimizes the Cubs in some way.

Screw the Cardinals.

DeJong ties it with a 2 run homer. His 32% K rate and 2.2% BB rate has to be the end of him at some point. I'm already excited for the DeJong is better than Bryant hot takes

I do that stuff in college sports but I don't see the point in doing it in pro sports

Craig Counsell is an awful manager, managing a even worse bullpen. Sending Nelson out to start the 8th was a ridiculous move. Edited by Cubswin11

It didn't occur to me until now that it may be fake. But, he is from Milwaukee originally.
