Normally when there's MLB highlights with a review I don't bother watching til the end, I know how the play ended up so no need to see it confirmed. I definitely watched the full length of Gonzalez getting called out at home to live his reaction all over again though.

At the time the Cubs trailed in the series 2-1 and hadn't scored in 2 games and then this little bitch is trying to play to the cameras and be charasmaric or something. That was the low point of the playoffs for me, even lower than being down 3-1 in the World Series. Thankfully it turned around quite quickly starting with the call from the review :)

Heh, I initially had a shorter clip in there that just showed the play, but then I thought to myself "No, Gonzalez's reaction is what made that moment stick out. It should be there."

Regardless of what you guys think, there's no way that play was getting overturned from the original call. I'm still not convinced he was out, as much as I want to believe he was.

His whiny bitch reaction definitely makes me smile though.

When this is all done, I'd love to have you publish your notes.

I would also love for someone who is really good at video editing to try to compile all these into one long video. Maybe put graphics up to introduce each one with the titles bukie made.

I'm adding my support for this because I get the feeling that when I come back to this thread in a couple years, I'm going to see a lot of 'video removed'

The good news is that all the ones I've paid attention to are official MLB videos, so you don't need to worry about copyright claims.

Anyway, thanks, Bukie

#35: Cubs Offense Puts Game 4 Away in 6th

Why on the list? - Sure, it was a tense game early, since the Cubs hadn't scored in two games. Then there was the controversial play at the plate in the 2nd. Then the Cubs pushed across 4 runs in the 4th, followed by Rizzo's HR in the 5th. But then the Dodgers came back against Lackey with 2 runs in the 5th, so the Cubs switched him out for Montgomery before the end of the 5th to make sure they kept the lead. Then the Cubs came up to bat in the 6th, and the game was over. The Cubs got a run on a Fowler single, 2 on a Rizzo single, and 2 on a Baez SF thanks to more poor defense by the Dodgers (seriously, the entire series is a case study on how important defense is, the Cubs were great and the Dodgers were awful.). However, before all those runs scored, this happened to start things off:

Who else remembered that Montgomery had a single in the playoffs?

#34: Contreras and Rizzo Break Kershaw, Put Game 6 Away

Why on the list? - Not that Hendricks was going to even allow 3 runs in this game, but with the score already 3-0 thanks to a fun first inning, the Cubs kept tacking on against Kershaw in a game where the Dodgers had no other options. They went to Jansen for 3 innings and he shut down the Cubs in impressive fashion, but by then it was too late, as the Cubs had done more than enough damage, and these HRs were just to keep the crowd jumping through the whole game.

It's certainly in the running for best game in Wrigley history, along with the mostly disappointing World Series games last year and in the WWII era.

I'll go out on a limb and say it was definitely the best NLCS game 6 in Wrigley history.

At the risk of being extremely obvious, that game is the best game I've ever attended.

This game was probably generally more exciting, but watching WS Game 5 in the bleachers with the KB homer and 2 2/3 innings of nothing but tension from Chapman was absolutely nuts as well.

I would imagine any home playoff win this year would go down as the best game you'd ever been to though.

I won the ticket lottery to buy tickets for the NLCS. I had to go with NLCS game 2 rather than 6 because of a stupid horsefeathering wedding

I was fortunate enough to go to Games 1 and 2 of the NLDS, Game 6 of the NLCS and Game 4 of the World Series.

Find me a gif of Kershaw's legs going out on him thanks to Rizzo's dong, dammit.

I love everything about his reaction.

it's the claw hand that always gets me lol.

Look how much he missed his location by on that pitch.

I was also in the bleachers for Game 5 of the WS. The whole game was amazing. It was an elimination game. Lester starting, Chapman pitching forever, KB Homer, Heyward climbing the wall and the Rizzo/Ross bobble play. The game had everything a Cubs fan could want. It was such an amazing feeling after that horrible beating they got in game 4. Game 5 was also the turning point in the series. I mean a freaking WS game win at Wrigley! Not many can say that :yahoo:

Yeah, he hit one off Kershaw in LA in 2015 too.

And since we're talking best games attended, Game 5 of the NLCS is mine.

Both the NLDS and the NLCS were awesome because of moments like Kershaw collapsing or Law crying. Those dagger moments when the other team finally realizes they are not going to win is so much fun. Sadly, we didn't quite get that in the WS thanks to the Indians being a much better team than the Giants or the Dodgers, but we did get to see Napoli blank staring at the celebration. I really wanted to see Kipnis crying after his trash talking before game 6 and game 7.
