Illini are playing with high energy and emotion, they have a couple of guys they can go to if they need a big bucket (Hill and Morgan), Morgan himself is pretty money in the paint if he's not doubled. They're actually moving the ball well and creating open shots.

 

But mostly, their defensive intensity is much improved, basically because of the emergence of Tejon Lucas. I'm not exactly confident that they'll get in, but Groce will get another year and he better make it count.

The lack of defensive intensity early in the season made them unwatchable. I've missed the last few games but that's encouraging to hear.

I can't believe how bad this team ended up. Defensive intensity is non existing, offensive strategy is 20 years behind.

This KU team strikes me as a team that gets bounced in the round of 32

They pretty easily could have had 2-4 more losses this year, they won a lot of 50-50 games (some even crazier ones like the WVU game). I think they are quite vulnerable. They haven't covered spreads for horsefeathers either.

Michigan/Purdue is setting up to be a classic. Purdue was up 9, Michigan went on a 12-0 run and eventually had a 4 point lead when Purdue hit a shot from half court to make the UM lead 1 going into halftime.

I really wish Michigan had kept wearing their practice uniforms until they lost. If they go down today I have no qualms blaming it on that.
