So I hope Zobrist plans on getting us that run back since Heyward would never have allowed it

Thanks Ben!

So I know Sale said before the season he was gonna scale back his velo, but with runners on base vs the middle of the order up, isn't that the time to show some of your old velo? He threw one pitch above 93 mph to Bryant, Rizzo, and Zobrist. I don't buy this is all by choice. Not at all.

Dammit willy. Even if you didn't get the run home I would have preferred we kept racking up that pitch count with another batter

Yeah, if he's doing this on purpose, he should go back to what worked a lot better.

Watching on MLBN, which has the Sox broadcast. I don't recognize these guys; Hawk and Stone having nice things to say about the Cubs? Relatively low homerism? Giving the Cubs credit when it's due? Crazy

His velo this year is essentially the same as it's been his entire career as a starter outside of last year.

Granted, that doesn't take into account any potential loss in velocity as the season wears on (since this is only a little over half a season).

I think they might be baseball fans. And for once in well forever, I think they can see what the Cubs could really do. I bet you see a lot of that in the coming months

Javy just made that ground ball up the middle, a play that requires a lot of range, look very routine. And the rocket of a throw. He's just so smooth out there.

It will be interesting to see if Lackey goes out of his way to praise Javy post game or will he just go after Zobrist for allowing the 1 run to score
