Cardinals walk off on the Phillies with two dinky seeing-eye ground ball singles. -_-

that sucks, now they'll finish 19 games behind us for the division instead of 20.

More like 39 instead of 40.

lol somehow the Cardinals got away with this 3bzEHMe.png

Runner was out in a rundown but another runner went to 3rd after all that. Should have been called dead for obstruction.

I was listening to the end of the game, the Phillies radio guys were piiiiissed. I figured they were exaggerating but that's ridiculous.

how the hell does a third base coach end up there?

They still got the guy out. Not sure what else transpired on the play that would've been reversed if they called the play dead. Still, they should've called it immediately for obstruction, that's ridiculous, and it was Martinez using the 3rd base coach to his advantage.

The other runner doesn't get to 3rd if they call obstruction, and then the groundball single to LF by Holliday probably doesn't score the winning run.

Diaz moved from 2nd to 3rd during the rundown. The Phillies manager came out and argued that because of the obstruction that Diaz should have to go back to 2nd. The umps didn't agree.

EDIT: What TT said...should've read his post before replying.

Rea gives up his first hit in the 7th. I was hoping for a 150 pitch no-hitter before his start against us next week.

The Rockies may beat us in the race to the first 20+ run game this year. They have 15 in the 5th with runners on 2nd and 3rd and only 1 out.

Most runs by a single team ever in AT&T park is 18, both by the Giants, once in 2000 and the other in 2004. The Dodgers also scored 17 there in 2014.

The most entertaining part of last night's Giants result was Grant Brisbee's twitter feed:

So the Pirates and Cardinals start a 3 game series against each other tonight.

I look forward to being at least 9 up on one of them by the end of Sunday.

Carlos Martinez just came out of the game. I thought Yadi was just calling for the medical staff to administer Carlos his antibiotics, but it seems he's actually hurt.

So Kang returned tonight and has 2 homers vs the Pirates.

That's pretty shitty of him after Pittsburgh was so supportive during his injury.
