FWIW, I'd give up Vogelbach (and probably a little more) for Chapman in a heartbeat.

Yeah I would trade him for either one in a heartbeat. I don't think his trade value will be any higher than it is right now.

But to be more realistic, what does a trade for Miller look like? Their interest in Vogelbach has come up more than once and makes a lot of sense(other than Greg Bird being another version of Vogelbach, only with a severe shoulder injury). They're the Yankees so any other pieces are probably going to need to be close to MLB ready. Does Almora and Vogelbach match up? The Yankees have no high minors CF hope, their OF is olllld and Ellsbury isn't a great CF defender anymore. Miller, while a reliever, is currently an elite of elites reliever and he's under control for 2.5 years. That feels like close to the right amount of 'both teams' fans aren't happy' for it to be possible.

Vogelbach, Jeimer and Szczur, McKinney or Dewees for Miller?

Kap on his show just said that he spoke to someone with intimate knowledge of the Yankees FO thinking and says the 3 players that they'd be willing to accept for Miller are Schwarber, Baez or Russell

Also, Rosenthal said Miller is the Indians top trade target.

So Miller is the Indians top target too. Just saw that we were in on Ziegler a little while ago. Seems like we're wanting one of each. So here's the list of who I figure is available.....

LHRP

Andrew Miller, Aroldis Chapman- NYY

Sean Doolittle(Shoulder DL), Mark Rzepczynski-Oakland

Fernando Abad- Minnesota

Jake McGee, Boone Logan-Colorado

Will Smith- Milwaukee

RHRP- Brad Boxberger(starting a rehab assignment), Alex Colome, Xavier Cedeno- Tampa Bay

Steve Cishek, Joaquin Benoit-Seattle

Huston Street, Joe Smith-LAA

Ryan Madison, John Axford, Ryan Dull

Taylor Rogers-Minnesota(find this one odd, seriously doubtful now with interim GM)

Tyler Clippard, Daniel Hudson, Randall Delgado-Arizona

Jeremy Jeffress, Tyler Thornburg- Milwaukee

Jeanmar Gomez, David Hernandez-Philadelphia

Arodys Vizcaino(Oblique DL) Jim Johnson- Atlanta

Most of this group has been rumored to be available......

Top 5 Lefties- Miller, Chapman, Logan, Smith, Abad

Smith still gaining velo, should be 3rd easily soon. No idea what Doolittle is currently. He'd be 3rd if healthy.

Top 5 Righties- Colome, Jeffress, Vizcaino, Hernandez, Thornburg(based on FG article today lol)

Harder to rank. Cedeno is very solid. Dull has been outstanding, no idea if he can keep it up. Cishek is decent. So is Gomez and Clippard. Not ranking Rogers, due to doubts he's available.....

Feel free to change my mind on some of these guys. But this is at least a decent list of who can be had.

Peon: "Mr Cashman, Andrew Marchand just let it leak that we'd take Vogelbach for Miller".

Cashman: "Damn it, leak some rumors about a ridiculously high price so we can get some of our leverage back. Maybe toss another team in there. But use a couple of different media people would ya, we don't want this to look obvious."

You had me until you suggested that Jimbo would waste a delicious pastry like that.

The Indians want Miller? I hope they're prepared to part with Lindor for such an important player.

Their list is Lindor, Carrasco or Kluber

The Yankees don't want him because he can't hit good pitching and would never survive in the AL East.

Probably not the best idea to say you think a guy could hit 50HR and then offer a reliever in return for him.

But it's ANDREW MILLER. He's 10' tall & shoots lightening bolts out his arse.

They have Chase Headley so they're pretty set at third, thank you very much.
