the Church I go to does, they play some U2 and Bob Dylan and a variety of others also. Not really for sing along, but introduction and other things. My post was more of a dig at Mum&Sons and contemporary Christian music. Didn't want to include the others in my lame joke.

My wife's church opens each service with about 20 minutes of live music (a band playing contemporary Christian music) followed by a 40 minute talk by the pastor. No hymns, no random bible readings, no Lords Prayer

So we bought tickets to the Cubs for a June game when tickets went on sale. This morning my wife won a large drawing at work for discounted Cubs tickets for May 1. Then tonight, at my son's school carnival, she won tickets to a game in July.

Also, last night I hung out with friends and some friends of friends. Anyway, this guy they call "Z" who I've met a few times (and knows my Cub love) said he was going to Chicago in mid-May for work. And he said if I paid for my own flight I could stay with him and he would pay for us to go to the Pirates/Cubs games that weekend.

 

Which, is really damn nice but I literally have no idea what his first or last name is. But it's been 26 years since 7-year-old Daniel visited Wrigley and I just got my tax refund so I'm booking the flight and Z and I will be BFF for one weekend at least.
