I'd like to know why the x ray film at the dentist is the same giant chunk of cardboard with sharp edges that I had to endure as a kid back in the 70's. Shouldn't we have better tech for that by now?

If you get them drunk on top shelf stuff it negates the risk of radiation.

oh man i have no idea how old a reference this is anymore, but it feels like a million years ago

i remember my, like, 7th grade science teacher telling us that when he was a kid, people were so excited about x-ray technology that they were using them in shoe stores to size people for shoes.

the 40's and 50's were wild as horsefeathers with their technology, man.

What my tooth guy uses doesn't have the sharp edges anymore, but its heavier and only mildly less annoying.

horsefeathers, they used those insane things for almost half a century. You could still find a few scattered shoe stores using them in the horsefeathering 70's. They have an exhibit about them at the Museum of Surgical Science in Chicago (an awesomely creepy way to spend an afternoon), and the main problem wasn't that they were x-raying feet, but that the whole box/setup was just blasting x-rays all over the place onto the customer and the salesman.

I believe they added coin slots to all amenities in both locker rooms, home lockers remain free to players but away players must now rent their lockers.
