They showed some of the bullpen on the broadcast last night. It was hard to tell, but from what I saw they looked kind of horsefeathers.

There's a video showing them a few posts up from yours.

They look exactly like you'd expect indoor bullpens to look.

Holy crap! I knew it was going to be cool raising the Championship flag, but...wow. I am geeked out now.

I kinda expected the bullpens to be gated with fencing and more open to the elements. How many bullpens are indoor/climate controlled in an outdoor park? Seems odd.

And where did you picture something like that fitting within the footprint of the current park?

Exactly where they are going to be

I'm saying I didn't expect windows and a glass door. I expected fencing with a green ad see through mesh overlay type thing like they have (had?) at the knothole thing.

Like horsefeathers. I don't like them. I wouldn't like to sit in them If I were a relief pitcher. Like a fish in bowl.

Some would say it's freedom.

I bet a rocket line drive will get a helluva rebound off the plexiglass.

I'm sure they crunched all the numbers and think it's an advantage for our guys not to be able to see when someone is warming up.

This could go in a few different threads but I'm gonna put it here...

The Cubs opened their locker room to the media for the first time in 2017, but it was something just outside the room that caught your attention. Hanging along the walls were new pictures from the 2016 playoff run, including the moments after the final game on the field, an aerial shot of fans celebrating outside of Wrigley and the World Series trophy on stage during the Cubs rally, but the last one -- which takes up an entire wall -- is Joe Maddon’s favorite. It’s a picture of the red brick wall on the outside of the stadium upon which fans wrote messages in the days after the World Series.

They will also have postgame press conferences for the Cubs home games on the screen. When I went to the park after Saturday's game, the inning-by- inning final score was shown, along with other videoboard content shown to fans inside Wrigley Field.

On non-game days, the screen will be used for movie nights during the summer. According to the official website, screening events for away games or other sports have not been planned.
