looks like they're expanding the dugouts too

What makes you say that?

i might've misinterpreted what i saw and i'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding a good picture

but they were supposed to

are they making it so you don't smack your forehead on the overhang every time you go down the stairs, or did they already fix that?

I know it is just optical illusion from the picture angle but it looks like a super short "Pesky's pole" will be needed down the left field line.

first real-ish look at the new footprint of the field

Is the 7-11 across the street gone? From this picture it looks like it.

Yes, long gone.

it's part of the addison park on clark project, unrelated to the cubs' projects

i used to use the ATM there during games...the ATM lines are outrageously long in Wrigley usually, so I'd just say I was going for a smoke and they allow reentry for that.

I think murphys and bernies both still have ATMs too though

I used it for the big gulp trick but the Cubs shut that down several years ago so I am fine with it being gone. At least Taco Bell is still around for the degenerates.

There's almost no foul territory beyond the dugouts. Not that there was a lot to begin with. But those fans near the old bullpen areas are going to feel like they're sitting on the field.

another look at the WS banner flag poles

I love how they have those planters lined up beside the new flagpoles so new Championships flags can easily be added there.

My brother (8 at the time) found $20 behind a bag of cheetos at that 7-11.

it's a shame the historical society couldn't have given it landmark status

They showed some of the bullpen on the broadcast last night. It was hard to tell, but from what I saw they looked kind of shitty.
