the nuveen sign is coming down (i'm pleased with this - not because i hate signs - i just think this particular one is an eyesore...actually i think the wintrust one looks lame too). wonder what's going up next (sounds like another nuveen sign).

yeeeeeeeesh

the reason for the sign change is that nuveen changed their logo

somehow they managed to make the new one even more boring than the old one

Why couldn't this sign be a big bottle of budweiser or pepsi or something at least more interesting looking than some lowercase letters in times new roman bold

Pretty crazy...we've been talking about this project, previously discussed as the Triangle Building, for what - 13 years or so, and its finally going to be done.

i could be wrong but i feel like the ideas for it started being kicked around as early as like 2001

I was looking at some old satellite images of Wrigley on Google Earth. Pretty wild looking back at how small and crappy the old (pre 2006) bleachers were.

Just looked at it on google arial and it looks great.

Question? What's getting built on Addison? I know the Park and Starwood motel are being built down the 3rd baseline on Clark, but I don't know what's getting built down the first baseline behind Addison.

Thanks in advance...

That's unrelated to the Cubs. Addison Park on Clark. Bunch of apartments and commercial units and stuff.

Also, anything on Google earth is pretty old (relatively speaking)...I think the current imaging dates back to around the end of last season.

just making sure...never know with you

that weird shape is due to how they expanded the park a million years ago...they literally moved a part of the grandstand and built in between

What makes you say that?

i might've misinterpreted what i saw and i'm having a surprisingly difficult time finding a good picture
