Catching a stray... I don't think Sulley was saying that negatively

I wondered that too. Is thicc used negatively or positively more often?

Generally speaking it is unwise to speak about a woman’s body and its relative thickness. Women in media get this horsefeathers all the time. He’s a middle aged man. She probably doesn’t take kindly to it

Sulley getting called out

IMG_8954.jpeg

i tried telling him at one point that I thought what he considered his misanthropy or whatever was just that he might actually not be a good person. he doesn't treat other people well, and in response, they get tired of his act and discard him. and then he uses "well i dont like people anyway" as a cover for having no one and nothing in his life. he disagreed and called me gay but i was right

Deadspin was sold and all existing staff let go.  They are rebooting it again.

Good Zombie Deadspin was terrible.

Sad to see the current writers lose their jobs, but that site was a shell of its former (sometimes glorious) self.

I need more articles about A.J. Daulerio getting high on LSD and trying to throw a no-hitter in a video game.

Wouldn’t know where to put this major coaching breakdown, so will put it here.

Yeah, that’s one way to get the players to play for you. 😂

listen just tell me how we can get Len Kasper back calling Cubs games ok

The crazy thing is that Len is a lot less enjoyable on the radio than he is on TV. But he's sort of a weird dude.

its significantly harder to do a radio call than a tv call, so I get it. But, to me, Len was the voice of the Cubs at their best, and it doesn't feel right to not have his voice there.

I wonder what Len's contract status is with the White Sox.  I know he signed a "multiyear deal" prior to the 2021 season, so he is currently in his 4th year on the job.  Does he really want to continue doing radio in obscurity while watching terrible baseball for the foreseeable future?

I don't even want to speak a world without Pat Hughes calling Cubs games into existence, but if he were to retire I wonder if there would be a match there.

Pat is only 68.  By broadcaster standards, that isn't extremely old.  If he is healthy and wants to keep doing it, there is no reason to think that he can't continue to broadcast for another 5-10 years or more.  Hopefully long enough for Zach Zaidman to have found gainful employment elsewhere.

He wanted to do radio and call playoff games, but now that White Sox playoff games are nowhere in sight, time to find a new job

The whole "wanted to do radio" always seemed a bit fishy.  I know everything Len said about radio, but did he REALLY prefer to do radio, or was that just the job that was conveniently open after a falling out with the Cubs?

I think it's a little of both. What I feel really confident in is that Len won't come back to the Cubs unless Ricketts sells the team
